Led by Dr. Louis Burt, a highly experienced teacher with a PhD in Education, the IgnitED team offer flexible options, including Zoom sessions, home visits, and both small group and one-on-one tutoring. Our dedicated tutors focus on fostering academic growth and building confidence in subjects ranging from literacy and mathematics through to science and music. Dr. Louis Burt is a highly accomplished educator with a passion for individualised learning. With years of experience in school teaching and a deep understanding of educational philosophy and research, Dr. Burt is dedicated to helping students excel academically and gain confidence in their learning journey. At IgnitED Tutoring, he leads a team of skilled tutors who are committed to making a positive impact on students' lives.

Director & Tutor
Dr. Louis Burt
Louis serves as the director and lead tutor of IgnitED Tutoring, bringing a wealth of experience as school teacher and educational researcher. He obtained his PhD from the University of Newcastle in 2023, during which he created the educational intervention program 'Kick-Smart.' As a published author of numerous research papers in the field of education, Louis has dedicated years to the field. In addition to his time as an academic, Louis has, and continues to teach in diverse classroom environments including Early Childhood, Primary, High School, and special needs settings.

Mr Jay Bichard
Jay is a seasoned teacher with a decade of experience in teaching, including roles as an Assistant Principal and Deputy Principal. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and development. He is a committed and enthusiastic teacher, equipped with a wealth of strategies and activities aimed at fostering student development. Jay believes in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential. His passion for education drives him to continuously seek innovative ways to enhance the learning experience for all his students.

Miss Lara Comerford
Lara holds a Masters Degree in Teaching and during her practical experience process, was personally selected by the IgnitED director for her enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and natural ability to connect with students. With a Bachelor's degree in Business on her CV already, and the support of senior IgnitED staff, she is quickly becoming an exceptional educator.
